The venue hire charge includes the use of 200 cherrywood chairs, kitchen facilities, standard house lighting, fixed pew balcony seating, toilet facilities and car parks on either side of the building after 6pm weeknights and all weekend.
Note: Rates quoted are per
day, exclude GST and are subject to change every year. Please contact
us to find out venue closing dates between Christmas and New
Year.
Security Bond
A separate bond of $1000.00 is required two weeks prior to the function to cover the cost of cleaning and any additional charges such as rubbish disposal and damage. Further details are outlined in
our Terms & Conditions. This amount will be banked and the balance refunded after the function less the relevant charges.
Cleaning Charges
Cleaning is charged at a rate of $65 + GST per hour.
The total amount is dependent on the amount of cleaning required to reinstate the venue back to the standard that is required by Hopetoun Alpha management.
Dance Floor
Functions that include dancing require a
dance floor to be laid to protect our original kauri polished floor. This is organised by Hopetoun Alpha staff
and is an additional charge to the Venue Hire fee. This amount
is required to be paid together with the final venue payment and bond prior to the function.

Alcohol Licence
A special liquor licence is required by law
for events selling alcoholic beverages at Hopetoun
Alpha.
The client is responsible for applying for this
licence. The fee is $63.00 payable to Auckland City. Application forms and details are
sent out with our booking confirmation. Included in this application, clients
are required to submit a floor plan of the venue and a letter of consent from Hopetoun Alpha.
Applications take 25 days to process.
